Anna Oleksiak - Vice President (Washington, DC)

Anna Oleksiak joined TIA in 2011. With her background in banking, she focuses on financial analysis and reviewing investment-related and due diligence materials for clients. Anna’s strong interest and experience in the impact investment space, enables her to cultivate productive relationships, and advise start-up companies and funds focusing on investments in emerging markets, specifically in Africa. She takes an active role in developing capital structures and metrics that appeal to both financial and social investors. At TIA, she focuses on the agriculture, healthcare, and education sectors. 

Simultaneously, Anna serves as VP of Corporate Development with Phytica Inc, an international pharmaceutical company with operations in Ghana, West Africa. Prior to her role with Phytica, Anna’s professional experience included positions in New York City’s banking sector. She worked within Deutsche Bank’s, investment banking division, in the Natural Resources Group, where she performed financial analysis, valuations of M&A transactions, and credit analysis. Subsequent to her experience at Deutsche Bank, Anna contributed her expertise at Eureka Capital Partners, where she performed in-depth due diligence, valuations, and worked with senior partners on capital-raising assignments. She worked in the healthcare, industrials and chemicals sectors. Anna graduated summa cum laude from the George Washington University with a double major, in finance and international business. Chris Murphy - Associate (San Francisco)

Chris joined Total Impact Advisors after having worked in the nonprofit sector (a term he recognizes that his boss, Arthur, actively dislikes) with an organization that catalyzed small community owned businesses in rural South Africa and Kenya. While not working with TIA, he works on a startup, zoomforth.com, to help young people identify careers that align with their skills and interests. Previously, Chris worked with USAID in its Washington, DC and Addis Ababa offices on a project to streamline the acquisition and assistance process. Chris graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in International Politics.  He focused particularly on emerging markets, including work developing and running an entrepreneurship education program in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
